Sheila Mackell MD

Pediatrics

Dr. Mackell completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, then University of Virginia, Charlottesville, for medical school. She trained in pediatrics at University of California, San Francisco. Once in practice, she specialized in travel and tropical medicine, studying and working in many countries and has certificates in both disciplines. She is an active member and Fellow of the International Society of Travel Medicine and the Academy of Pediatrics.

She began traveling with cleft teams over 25 yrs ago and continues multiple times a year providing pediatric care on the team as well as teaching pediatrics, travel medicine and public health at home.
